Monday - Friday, January 20-24

Girls had another great week of school! Kept up with math, spelling, reading, english / phonics and handwriting with Bible.

We reviewed week 13 and started working on week 14.

History:
Tell me about World War I leaders.  Clemenceau of France, Lloyd George of England, and Nicholas II of Russia, Wilhelm II of Germany, Wilson of the United States were leaders during World War I which began in 1914 and ended in 1918.

English:
Adverb: an adverb modifies a verb, adjective or another adverb.  And answers the questions, how, when, where,why, how often,how much, to what extent, under what condition

Geography:
Baltic Europe - Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, East Prussia (former)

Math:
Linear Equivalents - 2.54 cm = 1 inch, 12 inches=1 foot, 5,280 feet=1mile

Timeline: Columbus sailed to the Caribbean, Age of Absolute Monarchs, Protestant Reformation, Spanish Conquistadors in the Americas, Calvin's Institute of the Christian Religion, Council of Trent, Baroque period of the arts

Science: What is the difference between and acid and a base? An acid donates a hydrogen atom and a base accepts a hydrogen atom.

Latin - 1st conjugation endings present tense
