First Day of School

We officially kicked off our school year today. All in all it went well. The girls are going to gradually work into harder lessons so we are starting off with a lot of reviewing. However, today we got in handwriting, Bible, spelling, grammar and math. So proud of how they did. G even hung on for the first hour.

School Room

Well I am half way into July and have finally gotten my school room almost the way it needs to be to begin our year.

Here are the latest pictures of how the school room is looking:

Closet organized with shelves and bins and no more closet door!!! Bookshelf for reading books and curriculum.

Art work that the girls have done and our Fruit of the Spirit chart along with our awesome flag!

Chalkboard given to me by a dear friend and our name above it along with our daily schedule.

Curriculum is in, plans have begun, school supplies are all complete, and the only thing still missing is chairs for my table.

Here are the curriculum choices so far :)

Math-U-See is what we will be using again this year. E is in Gamma, and P will be doing Beta. G will continue working on her early number facts.

First Language Lessons of the Well Trained Mind - E doing lev 2, P doing level 1 for our grammar and language arts.

A Reason for Spelling - E level 2, P level 1. G will be doing StarFall for this.

E will also be using some Literacy First curriculum. As well as P using some of the reading material.

LifePac Bible for all the girls

Handwriting - Cursive for E and manuscript for P. G will continue working on all letters.

We will doing a co-0p every other Friday afternoon for our nature study lessons (science), art and foreign language.

I am so excited about this year to see how God is going to work in my life and in my girls.
